Savings Calculator
Use the Vextor Capital savings calculator to estimate how an initial balance, monthly saving amount, interest assumption and time horizon may affect savings growth and progress toward a savings goal.
Reader notice: This savings calculator is educational only. It does not provide savings advice, investment advice, tax advice, budgeting advice, account recommendations or a guarantee that a reader will reach a savings goal.
Calculate a savings estimate
Enter a current balance, recurring monthly savings amount, annual interest assumption, time horizon and optional savings goal. The calculator estimates future balance, total deposits, interest earned and goal progress.
Results are estimates. They do not include taxes, fees, inflation, account restrictions, changing rates, missed contributions or changes in personal spending.
Goal progress estimate will appear here.
Chart shows annual estimated savings balance using selected inputs.
| Year | Estimated balance | Total deposits | Estimated interest | Goal progress |

How the savings calculator works
The calculator compounds the current balance monthly using the annual interest assumption divided by 12. It adds the monthly contribution at the end of each month and tracks estimated progress toward the optional savings goal.
Estimated balance = compounded current balance + compounded monthly contributions
Current balance
The current balance is the amount already saved before future contributions are added.
Monthly contribution
The calculator assumes the same contribution is added at the end of each month.
Interest assumption
The annual interest assumption is simplified. Real savings rates can change and may depend on account terms.
Goal progress
The goal percentage compares the estimated future balance with the target entered by the reader.
What this savings calculator does not include
A savings calculator is useful for understanding scenarios, but it is not a complete model of personal finance. Real outcomes can differ because behavior, rates, taxes, inflation, account limits and fees can change.
No taxes
The estimate does not include income tax, interest tax, withholding tax, account reporting obligations or local tax rules.
No fees
The estimate does not include monthly account fees, transfer fees, penalties, platform fees or hidden charges.
No inflation adjustment
The result is nominal unless the reader manually adjusts the interest assumption for inflation.
No behavior guarantee
The calculator assumes contributions continue every month. Missed deposits, withdrawals or emergencies can change outcomes.
How to use this calculator responsibly
Use the savings calculator to compare contribution levels, time horizons and interest assumptions. Do not treat one result as a guarantee that a goal will be reached.
Test several contributions
Compare lower, realistic and higher monthly contribution scenarios before setting a goal.
Consider emergency needs
Savings goals should account for liquidity, emergencies, irregular expenses and personal obligations.
Separate nominal and real
Inflation can reduce purchasing power even when the nominal balance grows.
Check account terms
Interest rate, withdrawal rules, deposit protection, fees and eligibility depend on the provider and country.
